A Personal Assistant (PA) is someone who is employed by you, to provide you with support. Unlike a care worker they will normally work only for you and therefore can offer the maximum amount of flexibility. A PA can be employed to work for you on a daily or hourly basis or as a Live-In PA.
Your PAs will provide personal care, oversee medication or mobility; they keep up with the house keeping chores such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping. And often of greatest importance, they spend quality time with their companion.

Each plan is arranged on your terms and is designed to meet existing preferences. And as needs change, a one-to-one care plan offers the flexibility to change with those needs.
Using a home care agency is a simple solution if all you want is someone to come in to your home and help you with practical tasks. All care agencies have to be registered and inspected to ensure they are reputable.
There are some advantages of buying care and support from an agency but there are generally limitations in terms of flexibility, for example it is difficult for an agency to provide you with the same care workers if you want to help on different times each day/week. Care workers have many other clients and therefore have to fit in existing commitments. Some care agencies place restrictions on what their care worker can and cannot do, for example some care workers will not help with household chores. When you use Askjules you have the freedom to buy what you want when you want it.
