Whether or not you are already receiving support at home please contact Askjules and we will help you arrange an ‘assessment’ with your local authority.  A Social Worker will visit you to assess the level of funding required to meet your needs.

Your askjules Advocate will arrange to meet with you to help you plan the support you want.  Using an Individual Budget allows a considerable amount of flexibility in how you use the money to best meet your needs and lifestyle, for example you may want:

• to be a legal employer of your own personal assistant  
• a Care agency to provide your support   
• to design something entirely different.

Whatever you choose askjules will help with any of the financial and practical tasks from employing your personal assistant to arranging transport.

When you have completed your plan, Social Services and other funders will need to approve it.  When your plan has been approved you will be notified and the money will be paid directly into your bank account.  Your askjules advocate will provide whatever help you need to administrate and record your expenditure in order to show Social Services or other funders that the money has been spent as intended.
